Boy & Bear Sell Out Melbourne & Add Second Show 6/3/2012
Boy & Bear’s biggest Australian tour went on sale last week to a fanfare of ticket buyers. Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide tickets were nearly all snapped up, but it was the Melbourne fans that spoke the loudest, with The Forum’s Friday 18th May show selling out within two days. The Under 18s show at Melbourne’s Hi Fi is not far behind, expected to also sell out within the week. Boy & Bear have responded to the demand by adding a second and final show in Melbourne, on Wednesday 16th May at The Forum. Tickets for this show will go on sale this Wednesday 6th March at 9am.
Boy & Bear see the 26-date tour as a way to appreciate and acknowledge the loyal Australians that have embraced their music. But it hasn’t been just the Aussie fans that have been making noise recently, with the English now hungry for some live shows since the release of “Moonfire” through Co-Op in the UK. Not ones to neglect a fanbase, Boy & Bear will look to Europe and the UK toshare the love, announcing a string of 12 shows in April, including dates in London, Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam.
When they return home for the triumphant 26 shows in Australia in May Boy & Bear will be in fine form. With a history of consistent sold out tours under their belts fans are wise to get in quick if they want to see the Australian favourites at the height of their game.
Tickets to Boy & Bear’s Remembering The Mexican Tour are on sale now, with the second Melbourne show on sale Wednesday 6th March. Boy & Bear’s five time Aria award winning album “Moonfire” is out now via Island.
