Brian McFadden's single ‘Just Say So’ debuts at #1 on ARIA chart 19/4/2010
Australia’s adopted son, Brian McFadden
scored his second Australian number one this week with ‘Just Say So
’ debuting at #1 on the ARIA single chart with the highest single week sales on debut recorded in 2010. The single featuring Kevin Rudolf
also reached the #1 position on the iTunes single chart and was the #1 most added track to radio the week of release.
‘Just Say So’ is a ridiculously catchy electro-pop track with heavy auto tune and dance beats and is the first single from the Irish singer/songwriters new solo album Wall of Soundz available 23 April 2010. For a man best known for tender ballads and acoustic-driven love songs, Wall of Soundz was a musical revelation. After tip-toeing into the electronic genre with the hit ‘Twisted’, the new album sees McFadden pushing new personal and musical boundaries.Wall of Soundz
started life as a side-project with American songwriter Rob Conley, an electro whiz-kid behind hits for Darren Hayes, Axle Whitehead and Amy Meredith. So engrossed in the project was McFadden that he and Conley spent over 18 months writing songs together in Conley’s studio on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. “A new solo album would have taken another two years to write. So Rob and I sat down and we decided that this was my new solo album – it was exactly where I was musically and made perfect sense” McFadden says the end result may have his name on it, but it’s a collaborative affair and formed a fresh new exciting producing partnership.
That is the sound of Brian McFadden for 2010 – rebooted, re-energised and reinvented. He’s also ready to take on the world. “Of all my records this is definitely the one that is the most international. The ultimate goal is to get this album released in every country in the world.”
