The McClymonts To Perform In Grafton On New Album Release Date 24/4/2012
On the same day that The McClymonts new album Two Worlds Collide is released in Australia the girls from Grafton will head back to where it all started for them and celebrate the release of their third album with a huge concert at Grafton Racecourse on Friday May 18.
Always keen to surround themselves with creative forces, the sisters chose to work with three very different producers at the top of their game. Nathan Chapman is a longstanding cohort. He’s become best known for catapulting Taylor Swift to fame thanks to his ability to country music a fresh pop feel. Peter Asher, meanwhile, has five decades in the business, working on crossover greats such as Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt. Then there’s Grammy award-winning producer Luke Wooten, a Nashville stalwart with country music running in his veins. Rest assured this will be the record to get the sisters the attention they deserve.
While the sisters have a deep appreciation for country artists and are talented multi-instrumentalists, they’ve successfully woven in elements of pop and rock to create a sound that’s fresh and full of life. Undeniably, Two Worlds Collide is a feel-good album. Even in its darkest moments – moments of loneliness and heartbreak – there’s an appreciation of the beauty in life.
How Long Have You Known was the first single released from Two Worlds Collide in January. It went #1 on both the Australian Country Music chart and the CMC Video Chart. The beautiful second single Piece Of Me has just been released to radio and retail. Check it out HERE
This performance in Grafton is the only show featuring the new album in Australia before The McClymonts head back to the USA for a 3-month summer tour around the major fairs and festivals in the USA. They will be sharing the stage with some of America’s biggest touring artists such as Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jo Dee Messina and Mark Chestnut to name just a few.
Brooke said “We are away overseas so much these days that we decided we wanted to celebrate the release of this album with everyone at home first. We wanted to bring our new music and new show to Grafton before we toured anywhere else as a way of thanking everyone for their support over so many years”.
