I sort of (foolishly it would seem) figured that the judges wouldn't spend too much time on any one page, so it was worth just having a few things up there that showed why I was good for the gig. Seems a bit of a mistake in retrospect. Not too sure what I'll get up to this year. Entering the final year of my course which means an internship of some sort later in the piece. Looking forward to that... Anyway, just try and be as comfortable in any of the things (interviews, pieces to camera etc) you do. Always try and have a bit of chat to any artist you talk to before the interview starts, warm them into it. Annnd enjoy yourself. A lot of people will tell you that but make sure you do. You've got an amazing opportunity. A look forward to seeing more stuff from you

O ya x I’m just dropping a line, in search of some likeminded others who would be keen, committed, collaborate and produce some major events among the music and entertainment industry in OZ… (One of my events gained a position in the Smirnoff’s Promoters Grant short-list. Refer to my profile page for exp, history, skills etc www.myworldtour.com.au/4sound) I’ve been involved in ‘various music scenes’ for years, resulting to collections of relevant info, knowledge, market research and identification of new market spaces and there is room for growth in the industry! We are in an important time in our music industry, considering the rapid technology changes, music and genre exposure through airplay, festival line-ups etc, social networking, communication, revenue outlets, support etc! Within these accesses and settings, new enhancements can be formed…. Too cut a long story short, I’m looking for a selected few serious, people to join me in a group and conduct some major plans via events and the entertainment industry. The team is basically like a dedicated band, everyone has similar goals and objectives to achieve the same results and work equally as hard to get there quickly. Though no-one said things would be easy! I’m based in G.C QLD but have concepts to go nationally and internationality with some events. If I was going, there wouldn't be any clashes at all! But alas, tight on cash and a pretty lack lustre lineup (most of the bands I would go for, I've seen MANY times already) means that for the first time in a long time I'm going to give this year a miss.

So I camped out at FALLS in Lorne, VIC over New Years, saw some amazing moments, heard some rocking tunes, met a lot of intriguing individuals and managed to get some My World Tour research in there too!!!

I did have quite a bit planned for the last week but I haven't been able to upload a thing. It's very frustrating. On the upside, I'm still doing what I do and have a bunch of cool photoshoots I'm doing over the next couple of months including Neko Case (tonight), Lily Allen, Faith No More and Jane's Addiction. Can't wait. x

i haven't been able to blog/post comments most of the time... just occasionally it seems to let me. bizaaaarre!

i was in asia a couple of weeks ago actually, got back on christmas day. that's why i was so bad with my blogs to begin with, i signed up just before i went in nov and then did nothing. i was in nepal, loas and thailand for about 5 weeks. so much fun i wanted to stay there!!! hey i'm moving to sydney next thursday! yay! i;m going to try and see if i can get work on the street team when i get down there so if i can weasel my way into the office i'll try and come see you! i'm going to be staying with my cousin in drummoyne until i find a job and a place to stay, which actually might be a while. where do you live? have a good weekend erin! xx

so sorry it took so long to reply. I havent been internet bound the past month due to moving states...takes a lot out of u :( i moved up to Darwin for a 1 yr contract workn at a radio station up there and when my year was up i chose not to resign coz i kept getting sick in Darwin...turns out im allergic to tropical climates and the plants that live there so yeh, back to Melbourne for me. Was amazing up there though so if your not allergic to everything you walk past, go up there for a holiday in the dry season :) hope you had a good new year xx

I LOVE her! I saw her a couple of weeks ago and literally watched the whole show with my mouth open (she did a duet with Jarvis Cocker, Patrick Wolf, Jack Penate and the guitarist from Coldplay was playing!) what a legend, should put my article up. It's funny you should say her because people have started taking photo's of me thinking I am her and they don't believe me when I say I'm not! If you love her you should check out Alessi's Ark and Rilo Kiley :) I was in northern England and i'm off to Austria snowboarding next week before heading to Melbs so lapping up the cold weather. Where are you based?? I'm reading from London at the moment! Crazy world.

Video tips? Um... err... use a dynamic microphone held close to the speaker/presenter, try to frame your shots according to the rule of thirds, get some cutaway shots to cut between questions and live performance footage, check you signal levels on the audio to make sure it's not distorting, make sure that your subject is well lit or at least that you can see their face, get a sound feed from the mixing desk if they let you, Use a tripod when zooming in on a far away subject.

I could probably go on all day on the subject :)

Yes it was a bit of a major decision to make at the time but I don't regret it!

oh my frikken god australia post why I cant beleave it.... Australia postt are striking i mean they only time i ever posted a mass gift and they pull this Australia post WTF im so angry i could ... i could ... um i know strike yeah thas it although if i did woolies would just can n me and idd end up being on strike in the centerlink line(i suport unions so u no ) but i mean australia post could u please like strike after the bussyest time of the year like boxxing day the great boxxing day strike that shounds good... but you know how would be the most angry person about this strike???? ill tell you post man pat!!!!! yeah thats write he always delivers the post on xmass they put on a hour long ep about it most years . oh i swear he would be spiniing in his clay animation grave. okay i just scared my self but have an idea for the best horor film ever.. dawn of the clay animation dead or maybe zoombie clay... that would be scary see i would undestand not geting the post out if their was clay animation zoombies walking around then id get it

Everything has been going swell :) how's yourself?? I am still recovering from the massive weekend that was MEREDITH!! You MUST go next year!! It is simply amazing!! Oh and Jarvis was great by the way......as was Animal Collective, Sia, Pharoahe Monch and Yacht Club DJs.....the rest is just a blur haha. But yeah I strongly suggest you buy a ticket for next year and make the journey down here.

I've just finished making my first "official My World Tour" video in a joint effort between MYSELF and fellow contestant STARTSWITHJ

My friends built a mini-ramp in their backyard so we're having a party to celebrate 2 things. 1. The ramp and 2. The amount of injuries we will sustain on the ramp, as we are not the best at skateboarding. (Here's a photo of it http://twitpic.com/shjl6) So that's my Saturday, the good ol Ramp-a-po-looza party. No doubt there will be beers and cocktails consumed also. Tomorrow night i'm heading out I think. Not sure where, but as long as there is a dancefloor and i'm on it, i'll be okay. its not to hard to get in to regular events but im being anal and want to hold out for a festival event job hahah i have done internships with BDO and work experience with furutre and good vibes but i went for an interview the other week at chugg and didnt get it so i was heaps bummed haha but ill wait untill the new year b4 i start looking for something solid. I have my own compnay so i do freelance event work eveynow and then so i guess things are not all that dire.

yep, layout and facilities were appalling. stupidly oversold. the kids just there for the beetroots were disgustingly rude and ignorant. But luckily they all left after that. Axwell played a killer set, Chicane was good (but punk beetroot fans waiting for the duo were booing him), Garnier great, Deamau5 ok. I'll post my review tomorrow. 6/10. So yeah, you didn't miss much.

Hello hello :) Thanks for the comment ! As a travel journo I find Thailand really fun to write about because there are so many great stories to discover there! I loved the culture, the Full Moon parties, cooking classes, elephant riding, swinging through the trees like Tarazan in the jungle, snorkeling and visiting The Beach (you know the one from the Leonardo DiCaprio film). I do a lot of travelling in my own time as well and I absolutely love Greece, France, Egypt, Italy and the UK. I've got a long list of festivals that I would love to write about including: La Tomatina and the festival of San Fermin (running of the bulls) in Spain, the Rio Carnaval in Brazil and the music festivals included in the My World Tour Prize of course ;)

Haha yeah but I have been a bit slack as of late :( too many hungover weekends from too many gigs. Love the way you've put together your photos.....something a little different is always great!!!
