five bullets- Polaroid Fame
I went to see Polaroid Fame at Ric's Bar in Fortitude Valley...
>Slight sound of signature Byron Bay in their instrumental [this makes sense as the five members of the band are from Byron]
>there are some fun vocal hooks which unfortunately were lost in their live show...I spent most of the set trying to understand what Frankie [the front man] was saying.
>regarding image, the band seem to be passionate about slogans; e.g.- Frankie's shirt- 'don't give in' Zoe's 'there's no place like home' and Damian's displaying the face of non other than Alfred E. Neuman with the word 'rad' underneath.
>I was disappointed in the lack of stage presence; there was a lot of eyes closed, euphoric facial expressions and seemly introspective moments, which I felt distanced the audience.
>said influences include the likes of Bowie, U2 and The Police. my recommendation- check out there myspace and form some opinions. http://www.myspace.com/polaroidfame
