FML.. HAVE NOT BLOGGED!
Ok... who is the worst myworld tour entrant. Granted. As I live in Canberra.. yes the nation's capital it is harder to access the supreme big acts short of the voyage to sydney or melb (love to do it whenever i get the chance). Only here till the end of uni! THANK GOD!
Gigs I have recently attended and a brief summary:
Eskimo Joe: This was in Canberra at the ANU. My disappointment was mainly in the event setup rather than the tallent. They would not open the bar (or venue for that matter) until Eskimo Joe was ready to go. This meant that you either had to put your priority as getting a drink (to protect yourself against the harsh winter conditions "alcohol blanket") or a front row position. Good talent. The night out was better though.
Warehouse Winter Music Festival: SENSATIONAL combo of DJing with live performance.
Foreshore Summer Music Festival: Beetroots were off the hook. Although Empire of the Sun were the main act, they got outshone! Good festival, great weather, good vibes. I rate this!
Trackside: Meh shmeh. Thats enough.
Katy Perry: She has a great aptitude for live performance. Good tunes, but not enough of her own signature ones! Long lie Katy Perry.
Thredbo Jazz Festival: A relaxing weekend in the mountains listening to some laid back tunes.
Queenscliff Music Festival: Epic as always.
Black Eyed Peas: LOVED THIS! Although I do have my suspicions about Fergie "singing live"
Currently holding tickets for Lady Gaga and also Future for 2010 in Melb. Missed out on Big Day out Tix. Devoed.
I am crap. I have no photos. Off to New York for a few weeks and going to a bit of stuff there. Oh well, guess that's it for me.
