42 Festival Fundamentals
Going to a music festival? Ladies, I’ve got you covered.
Tonight I was thinking I should pack my gear for Meredith. I won’t. Organised isn’t generally my style, I’ll do it last minute, in typical Annabelle style.
But luckily I’ve done enough last minute music festival packing to learn from my mistakes.
So here is the list, which I myself will now use for successful festival festivities.
Tent (check all pegs exist)
Sleeping bag or blanket
Sleeping mat or mattress
(I recommend the former in those last two, preferably a good sleeping mat with an air valve)
Chairs for chilling at the campsite
Esky for food and bev
Stuff People Forget
Toothpaste and toothbrush (I always forget toothpaste. Can be a good conversation starter. Remember the toothbrush though, not too many cats are keen to share that...)
Socks (ski socks if you have them, nature makes my feet cold)
Toilet paper (it never lasts in the public toilets)
DON’T FORGET A TORCH
Cups (if you intend on mixing drinks)
A extra set of clothes and shoes
A pillow (rolled up clothes do the trick, but nothing compares to a good pillow)
AT the supermarket
Bloody huge container of water (10ltr should suffice)
small bottle of water
soft drink/ juice
sunscreen! (Even if it’s overcast, case in point Falls Festival 08/09, it was rainy and freezing and everyone got burnt)
Insect Repellent (Not Required if you taste yucky like me and bugs don’t like you)
(anymore make-up and you’ll start looking silly, just keep it easy and simple)
Hairties and bobby pins
Mirror (Boys should bring one too, I have seen so many guys check themselves out in car mirrors it’s hilarious)
A flag or something strange to distinguish your campsite (I go for tibetan prayer flags, but that's just me and the Dalai Lama's thing so you now)
A picnic table
Novelty items/ op-shop clothes
A Tarp and Rope
A SIPPY CUP FOR DRINKING HEHEHE
