What's your style?
At the moment I'm slightly into Break Even by The Script... I don't really know why... other than it sounds great and the lines are extremely catchy. "They say bad things happen for a reason, but no wise words are going to stop the bleeding..." -It's not my style at all... Or is it. How do you know what your style is when you can't even categorize it yourself? I love a bit of rock, a bit of blues, a bit of heavy metal, even a bit of dance and hip hop. I guess I seem to find that the music chooses me - not the other way round. I can't make myself like a song. As much as I try - I can't like a song that irritates me or has a bad line, but I find that more often than not, my foot will tap away to a song whether it's pop, rock, metal or soul. Some songs are just like that- and they're hard to hate just 'cause they're not in a genre that I usually listen to. One of my favourite things about going to festivals is walking from band to band, not having a destination until you find a band that gets your foot tapping. And wham, you are there. In a moment with 100s of other people tapping, dancing and smiling away with you. Just thinking about sharing the moment makes me want to be there now. I love festivals. And speaking about different genres -how about Pez's The Festival Song? How great is it? I think it's a perfect, perfect, perfect song that has caught the vibe of summer days. I tend to think Aussie Hip Hop is great, not that I listen to a whole heap, but when I do - it makes me very patriotic. There's nothing like an Aussie accent in a hip hop song... Oh by the way, does anyone remember 2 Up? S x ...And does anyone else out there have a eclectic music taste?
