What a way to bring in the New Year.
Like thousands of others, I spent my first day of 2010 being drenched with rain at Summadayze in Melbourne - got to love Melbourne weather.
Not only was it my first New Years in Melbourne, but also my first Summadayze ever, and not even the weather could bring a downer to the day.
Various stages were decked out in festive decoration, the 'Yellow' stage and the stage with the giant face on it being reliable and drawing crowds throughout the day, many wearing matching stick on eyes they got from somewhere or other, however everyone wanted to be at the main stage especially towards the end of the night when Carl Cox was playing, and many were queuing in the rain just to get in. My sister and I were set on finding a way into VIP which eventually we did, where a smaller crowd danced energetically to some local Djs who were set to hit up Q-bar later on.
When the night came to a close we were keen to keep going but after arriving home the NYE lack of sleep caught up with me.
