Perth Big Day Out Ballot
So I've entered the Big Day Out Ballot but I think I'm being swept away in the novelty of it all. Everyone seems so eager keen to go and now i want to go just so I can see them miss out. Wow! saying that out loud seems somewhat narcissistic haha but I meant more in the way it makes you look blessed with luck? I was never too fussed to go as the line up didn't blow me away. Well it did to an extent but so much so to the point you realise how much every thing's going to clash. There's nothing more heartbreak having to decide between the two bands you got most amped to go see. What's worse is when you decide I'll do half half and pushing through intense crowds to get to the other stage on the OTHER side of the venue to realise you've seen only half of one band and completely missed the other. Oh the valuable lesson learnt in my old festival age haha. It's not that I dislike Big Day Out but having been for the last 4 years you realise that Big Day Out is made to bring all genres of music together but if your maybe strange like me and a have mixing bowl taste of every type of music I can guarantee you will be sprung with a tough decision or two. The best example was last year when there was Lupe Fiasco and Hot Chip on at the boiler room close together but smack bang in the middle was the Arctic Monkeys on another stage. I nearly cried making that decision but luckily caught the end of the Monkeys by mistake which was amazing enough!
P.S. The blog photo was just to show off what I cooked the other night! It was an amazing lamb shank with cauliflower and white sauce and then chips.. next master chef?. Highly doubt it, its back to the boiled pasta and mi goreng for me
