... that forced me to reconsider the moshpit.
As a precursor to this otherwise verbose rambling, I want to explain that, yes, I am 22 years old, but have been heading out to concerts and music festivals for 8 years now and have had more than enough terrifying experiences in the moshpit. But please don't judge me on my lack of rock and/or roll.
There was Rage Against the Machine, BDO 2008, where I could not hear, see nor experience the legendary RATM perform 'Bulls on Parade' due to the IMMENSE CRUSHING OF MY CHEST as I was forced against the barrier. Mind you, this was after I had been pushed onto my knees, so I suppose it was better than being stepped on the head. An awesome performance, though, and good times were spent searching for my left shoe after.
Also, the Korn tour of 2007, where I crawled out with a broken finger and a great big gash down my leg. Which, sadly, was the highlight of an otherwise lousy performance (Disturbed was off the chain!).
And then there was the mosh pit where I was THE OLDEST PARTICIPANT. And that terrified me.
Is this an irrational intolerance?
What are your experiences in the abyss?
