Star Assassin will release their single ‘Beautiful World’, lifted from their debut album ‘Bleeding To The Circle,’ at the renown Hi-Fi bar Swanston St on October 30th.
‘Beautiful World’ is a gorgeous ballad with a powerful, heart-stopping chorus. It is obvious that this track was born from an experience close to the band’s heart and is the type of song that can connect with everyone. It is the second single to be lifted from the album and catches the raw emotion of the band questioning the emphasis our society places on fame and fortune. “The single (Beautiful World) has connected with a lot people... It means a lot to me to see how much it means to everyone else when we perform it live” said lead singer Simon Hynes.
With the film clip recently launched to YouTube Star Assassin is extremely happy with the result. “It’s great to see it all come to life… we worked with the Director on our first single (Hey Kid) so we understood each other and what we both wanted from the clip” said Simon.
Their first single lifted form the album, ‘Hey Kid’, took the Australian Independent Records (AIR) charts by storm and launched itself into number 18 and remained there for four consecutive weeks. However, Simon has even greater expectations for Beautiful World. “It just seems to be that sort of ‘hit’ song, when ever we play it live it’s always gains the loudest reaction and people are always commenting on it… I’m excited to finally get it out there.” Said Hynes.
In 2005, Music Oz crowned Star Assassin the ‘Best Unsigned Rock Act’ in Australia and since then the boys have been hustled between the studio and the road and according to Simon there is “no sign of slowing down.” Only just having released their debut album Star Assassin has already been showcasing some of their new material. “There are a few new songs in the set list that we have been trying out with the fans and they have got great reactions…We have added a whole new dimension to our sound and want our fans to hear it” Said Hynes
