Two words, Dave. Grohl. One of the most amazing musicians. Ever. I don't want to even mention the talents of Kaki King and Sydneysiders The Mess Hall, because without even trying Foo Fighters stole the show, from running on stage to the triangle solo to Dave bargaining about encore songs through video, we got up to five. About a 10 minute instrumental, not including the actual song, of Stacked Actors, which seriously rocked, and among the their songs of awesomeness, I'm gonna say it, Staked Actors is average. I mean it's sick how it rips into celebrity, but really it's just another song in the middle of the line of the amazing range of songs (I don't care for sentence structure.... obviously).
Running around the stage, urging the crowd to yell louder, then quieting them, then raise hell again.
From start to finish to encore the stadium erupted with amazement and awe for the fighters. Due to their double album release (In Your Honour) they had set up an acoustic 'station' (for lack of a better word), Dave stopped after an amazing song and introduced his supporting members and then continued to get the guy on the triangle to give a solo after "man I can't think of any other ways to pump up a shit instrument".
Every song, and I cannot stress this enough, every song fucking rocked. Only two downers the entire night, the length of time it took them to set up for them and the guy who got in a choke hold because he was hopped on something. But the experience was worth much more than the money I paid for the ticket!
