Hi everyone, sorry it's been a long time...but I have been on the road. Well a solo road trip actually...You know the story, it's about the journey not the destination. After a very tiring year I decided to find some strength and wisdom whilst driving my 1994 Toyota Corolla up north. I had been driving for about 10 days when I started to get a little anxious. When was I going to feel the change, the POW moment when I understood, when I had clarity, when I could shed the hurt of last year and look forward to the next? I was beginning to think it was never going to happen...then BANG! "Holy shit"!!!!! "Be calm, be calm, be calm...gently hold the wheel and put your foot on the breaks Em". Can you believe it? Here I was in a day dream and at 110k an hour my front tyre decides to spontaneously combust! Not only that it takes half of the side panel with it and the car is fxxcked! I look around and I haven't hit anything and I am not hurt. In fact I have come out of this with out a scratch. Yeah so what I had to change the tyre and gaffer tape the side panel to the door (I now have to get into the car from the passenger side) but the car still goes and I am still here. Which brings me to todays theme - Bands who changed their tyres (members) and managed to carry on.
(I just have two for now and I will have to just list them this time as it's taking me 10 hours to download anything a million miles from home, but I just didn't want you to think I have forgotten you all)
Faith No More - Have changed their members more than their underwear but when Mike Patton replaced Chuck Mosley in 1998 their engine never ran so smoothly.
ACDC - AC/DC had produced a series of dynamic hard rock albums in the 1970s, but the ‘80s didn’t get off to a promising start – lead singer Bon Scott died on February 19, 1980, his demise the result of a drinking binge that caused him to choke. Undeterred, the group brought in vocalist Brian Johnson, recorded Back in Black (generally considered their masterpiece), and went on to one of the most successful careers in hard rock.
Please feel free to add to this. xxxx
