This is amazing news from the UK. In a bid to stop the proliferation of god-awful pop music the world over, a British couple began a campaign to stop the obligatory annual X Factor winner reaching the number one spot on the Christmas singles chart.
By telling everyone to download 'Killing in the Name Of'
The campaign got so much attention over Facebook that it drew the attention of the band, who allegedly offered a free gig in the UK if the task was met. The track beat "The Climb", a Miley Cyrus cover by X Factor winner Joe McElderry, and also set a new record for the most downloads in one week in UK history
Maybe this is enough incentive for the band to come back with new material!
