Today I spent my afternoon venturing down one of Adelaide's well-known stretches of land in the CBD, Rundle Mall.
Each week I wonder down the Mall chatting to people and recording voxies for a segment called Street Talk on the local community radio station Radio Adelaide.
Today was all about the Pandas and how people feel about them coming to our city and if people are fed up of all the media hype in which has been created due to their arrival.
And even though I got mixed opinions it was overall enjoyable..
BUT what I really want to mention is that Rundle Mall is an incredible place to visit if your in town.. The Malls Balls alone are an icon and daily children of all ages busk along side of them (especially since it's now school holidays!) and today I had the time to stop, listen and take in the amazing talent in which the youth of our city has to offer.
A girl who would be no older than 16 years of age and no younger than 12 was singing her lungs out and passionately grooving along to her (what I can imagine is her) brother on the drums beside her.
WHAT an amazing voice!! Too young for Idol but I'm giving her a Holla now because this girl is the next Aretha Franklin and I do believe others felt the same..because I have never seen an outstanding crowd of fans stopping and taking in her brilliant singing and beauty!!
The mysterious girl who I may never know I just want to say WOW~
And this is another reason I love music it brings people together in the weirdest circumstances and shares a journey will all of those around taking it in...
Bring on the buskers to Adelaide Rundle Mall more often I embrace them!
