"Rated R" is Dark, most of the tracks refer to a gun and even the ballads such as "Stupid in love" express a raw honesty and cynicism toward love. Rihanna has evolved as an artist, even her previous effort "Good Girl Gone Bad" which was seen as a bold leap from her fresh-faced roots, is mild compared to this. Despite the darkness, heavy guitar riffs and dejected, hardcore lyrics you cannot help but believe every song on the Album. "Rude Boy" will definitely be a hit and shows her willingness to explore more adult themes in her music. Haha, reviewing her album even affected the way I wrote. I LOVED THE ALBUM; CHECK OUT "ROCKSTAR 101", "HARD", "TE AMO" and "RUDE BOY". It is a great album to vent your frustrations out with, and it totally makes you feel badass and pumped for the weekend: check track "G4L". Check out Rockstar 101 here it even features music legend SLASH!!
