Now this story takes place when Wolfmother were still a three-piece or also known as Wolfmother 1.0, these guys were my first big rock concert. And I was feeling pretty psyched up to see them. I was hanging out for songs like Apple Tree, Woman and Colossal. And being such a unknown concert goer at the time everything was exciting (and still is, I keep finding that feeling).
I can't quite remember what song it was but there was a 'circle pit' going and that was pretty funny in itself because it wasn't super rough (probably a good thing) everyone was just bouncing and bumping each other into one another, I bumped my mate into this guy because he was starting to get cocky.
Little did I realise that a technical difficulty occurred and the show was stopped for a little bit, we thought it was over and started to walk out, a little disappointed, we then found out it wasn't and rushed back to our spots just in time.
Although the show was good it was before they had released Joker and The Thief and found an new invigorated energy where they wrecked everything were 'rock and roll' personified. But rather just played, but they didn't 'shoe gaze' they were moving around and jumping and other stuff. So they met some of my criteria. But all in all a good night.
